MARCH 2013
"My Shooting Experience at Quail Point"by Mark Gagliardi
"At a Boy Scout event at Quail Point NorCal we had 71 shooters, 13 stations, 3 clinic stations and a flurry - All Laporte machines.
Out of the 11,000 targets thrown, we had ZERO breakdowns and less than 10 broken targets all day. In 11 years, I have never had a better event!!!!!!
It makes me proud that Laporte are a sponsor of Shoot for a Cure, and it is so important that we keep demoing the machines around the country.
My goal is to convince ALL of the clubs we shoot at to be Laporte clubs, now I have a great first hand example to tell each club owner we visit this year."
FEBRUARY 2013
We are now into the start of the New Year and for the the first news bulletin for 2013 we are pleased to announce that West Kent Shooting School have installed a 40ft tower which replaced a 100ft crawler crane at their shooting ground in Decem ber 2012. This tower offers 8 traps, 7 of which are Laporte Traps (with an 8th currently on order) and currently one from the crane which is no longer in use. The traps used are mainly midi's and sporters.
The shooters are fortunate to enjoy the option to shoot at alternative angles, which is proving testing, but gives them an opportunity to have a wider range of sporting targets at different levels and the traps are elevated at different directions and angles. Their options are almost unlimited.
The tower is being used now, but they are to install some new claymate/counter system in the driven area and create new stands and shooting areas.
The Grand Opening is planned around April/May 2013 but no date has been decided. They are hopeful that George Digweed will attend the opening of the tower, at which time he will provide some amazing shooting skills from targets off the tower.
"Customers are their investments" and by continually investing in the shooting school they are attracting not only new customers but keeping happy the customers who have achieved with their facilities a high standard.
Laporte Clay Pigeon Company would like to take this opportunity to wish West Kent Shooting School good luck and success for the future.

AUGUST 2012 "When we re-launched the old loch ness gun club as Glenmoriston Shooting Ground in February 2012 we wanted to work with a company that would supply the best equipment and help us develop the ground and critically help us enhance the reputation of the ground as one of the finest trap shooting grounds in the UK. We have purchased Laporte ABT, DTL and OT traps from CPC. We have received friendly and supportive help and advice all along the way. This is all the more impressive considering the congested competition calendar that has been a feature of UK trap shooting this summer. The fact that Laporte technicians and staff were prepared to travel to North Scotland at very short notice to help us with installation of the OT in particular was a tremendous help to us. After sales service has been impressive with any parts required being received next day. Equally after sales communications are great with regular phone calls to see how things are progressing.
We will be developing the ground further and firmly believe we have chosen the best company to match our ambitions. We look forward to developing our working relationship with Laporte/CPC in the coming years. We stongly recommend Laporte/CPC. Thank you from your friends in Glenmoriston."
MAY 2012
Diaries are full, days are busy - our lorries are out delivering championship clays covering the whole of the UK whilst containers are being despatched to far off countries. Grounds are expanding with new Laporte traps and older machines are being serviced ready to give the best service for the coming season. Our counters are making sure the grounds stay in business. UK top shooters are training hard for the London Olyumpics and are very happy with the preparations. Richard Faulds took time out and relaxed at the English Skeet Dartford and took High Gun - Ed Ling showed what he has by winning the Universal Trench at Southern Counties - Peter Wilson is making sure all competitors know who is top - Ian Mullarkey blasted his way to the top step at the British Double rise held at Bywell - Paul Chaplow held on to win the English Double rise at Bywell. World Sporting at Orston was another hugely supported event with John Lee and Paul Wilkinson taking Scratch High Gun.
Krieghoff at Mid Wales is looking to be another very exciting event this month

APRIL 2012
Richard Newton has worked for Laporte Clay Pigeon Company for 23 years and has travelled the world laying out ranges and running the mechanics of competitions. Richard has worked round the clock with two other engineers to set up the range at the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich where 390 athletes will compete this Summer.
Richard has said "It is definitely a bit of an honour to do the Olympics - even more so seeing as this is a home one." Richard and his team first set up all the traps - devices used for launching clay targets into the air. They then installed microphones in each one, so the traps can be voice activiated.
The team then spent a few days watching marksmen and women trial the range, making sure everything worked. There are shotgun, rifle and pistol events, with Richard involved in the shotgun contests. He will travel down before the games to check the machines are working, and stay throughout.
In shotgun events, competitors aim at moving clay targets. There will be 270,000 clay targets used throughout the games. Article written by the Leicester Mercury

NOVEMBER 2011
"I have tested today targets from last container. They are really a little stronger previous. Personally I would like to have stronger, but already there is no time for experiments. In any case I wish to thank you for targets of very high quality. We have lead competitions H.H.Crown Prince Cup - Open. Results were very high. All participants and men and women have remained are happy with targets Laporte. Sportsmen UAE, Kuwait, IRI, Japan, TPE, Qatar and some other participated. It has especially well turned out to show a significant difference as between Corsivia and Laporte. On trainings before competitions all shot on the Spanish targets and there were many protests and discontent. On official training and competitions has been given H.H.Laporte and results "have risen" at all. Personal achievements are established many. All are happy and asked the president to use at 2 following competitions only your targets."
