"We leave our traps out at all times and the river flooded the field to a depth of at least 4 ft. When the level dropped to allow us onto the shoot we were amazed that after a bit of cleaning and greasing all the traps worked first time.
The ABT which we purchased at the beginning of the year was completely submerged under at least 6 ft of water for three to four days including the electronics. The only problem with it was a fuse has blown when we tried it first time. We have a total of 20 Laporte Traps (185`s, Arm Rabbit and single stack 85) and would highly recommend Laporte Traps to anyone for robustness and reliability."

It has been a couple of intense weeks at Southern Counties Ground in Dorset with the installation of 4 Laporte Olympic Trench and one Universal layouts.
A team effort was made to ensure the layouts were built to the grounds requirements with targets thrown to Olympic specifications and completed on schedule. The Clay Pigeon Company pulled out all the stops and all works were completed on time. The installation done by:- Richard Newton (Senior International Technician), Robert Grainger (Sales Manager - engineer and former ground owner) and Andrew Herrett (Technical Manager of CPC):- was finished to a very high standard and the expertise gained from installing layouts throughout the world ensured a first rate job and one which should benefit all future OT and UT shooters. These LAPORTE layouts are renowned throughout the World and will be used at the Olympics in Beijing in 2008!
The trench layouts were completed on Friday, 13th April 2007! This completion date ensured that Southern Counties was able to test all the equipment, before hosting the Great Britain Olympic Trap Selection Shoot.
Laporte/CPC sent two technicians who attended the OT selection shoot to make sure the weekend was a great success. The quality of the clays, traps and targets were excellent which ensured a great competition for all those involved.
The Clay Pigeon Company/ Laporte have been awarded as exclusive suppliers for the Prague World FITASC championships, further endorsement of the quality you can expect from a World leader in the industry.
Kevin Newton of Southern Counties said, “The reasons we went for Laporte in our trap & skeet layouts is we wanted a trap that could throw world class targets and reliable equipment”.
And as John Leighton-Dyson also stated:-
“As Performance Director for British Shooting through the World Class Pathway Programme, we are very pleased to see that Southern Counties has installed Laporte OT and DT traps on four layouts. The OT selection shoot last weekend went well and the targets were of international standard particularly in windy conditions on the Saturday and were appreciated by the shooters.
This is a great improvement from a World Class perspective because these machines are the same as those being installed in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. We will be training at Southern Counties in the future because this is the only UK ground using these traps at this time and the facilities at Southern Counties are excellent.”
